This was a very nice experience. It is beautyfull with the change of the seasons. The tree color magnificence
Beautiful place! But unfortunately a target for drilling companies, so please vote for candidates who oppose fracking on public lands!
I did a 3 day backpacking trip along the 28 old loggers path. The summits were beautiful, and where yellow dog run meets rock run was gorgeous. There were plenty of campsites with fire pits, and I even saw two lean-tos. If you hike around the trail clockwise, there is a known rattlesnake hangout at mile 12.5. There's a ton of stinging nettle, so I'd advise wearing long pants. The trail is well blazed and easy to follow, if you lose it just stop and look around and you'll find it again. The only real complaint is that a lot of spots were overgrown, washed out, had downed trees, or even missing bridges. I suspect there was a storm soon before my trip that caused all this damage, I'll have to go back to see if it gets fixed up.
It's absolutely beautiful. Clean despite the tsunami that came down stream. We will come here every summer. Not your typical campground. Lovin it!
Really showcases the natural assets of Pennsylvania. Great vista lookouts and trout streams for fishing and swimming. Cant go wrong for a camping trip! Just do your homework to plan the best places to check out. A hidden gem for biking on road (scenery not shoulder lanes) and especially off. Ask locals for truly amazing waterfalls and swimming holes to discover. Checkout Big Mike's Forksville store for the best Philly-style deli and sandwiches
